I want to be a Billionaireeee

Hey guys! Long time, no chat, but I’m now back! I had a great weekend filled with manicures, INSANITY relaxation, good food and of course Mothers day! I left off last week so thats right where I will pick back up!
Friday was a beautiful day and I didn’t start work until 11:30, so I decided to walk the long way to Whole foods (the whole walk was 1.75 miles) I got some goodies!
  • Ezekial bread
  • Strawberries
  • bananas
  • Kiwi
  • Cottage cheese
  • Siggis
  • Frozen Peaches
  • KomBOOcha
Haven’t tried this flavor yet!

My first Kiwi skin eating experience. It was tasty! Remind me why I peeled it before? (now if only it was OK to eat the mango skin! I hate peeling those suckers)

After my walk and appetizer (kiwi) it was time for my overnight oats that were hard at work all night

  • 1/2 C oats
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 Scoop Lean Dessert cinnamon Roll Protein Powder
  • 1 TBSP chia seeds (those get so big in overnight oats!)
  • 10 drops of NuStevia
  • 2 TSP cinnamon
  • 3/4 of a 6oz container of greek yogurt
  • water/almond milk to desired consistency
I added some frozen blueberries and about 12 raw almonds. This was SO good. It had been so long since I made overnight oats. It was cinnamony goodness.

Later at work, this was consumed

WIth some of this

Kashi for some CRUNCH. I loved this flavor, it was tart yet sweet with a slight orangy flavor. I <3 Siggis

Right from work, I met my parents for dinner downtown Boston at a restaurant called “Bistro Du Midi” It was a georgeous night and we sat outside overlooking the Boston Gardens.

We were immedietly greeted with olive tapenade and crusty bread. This was good but SO salty, I couldn’t have that much of it!

I started with a small chopped salad which came with a house vinegrette, goat cheese, chopped veggies and romaine. It was good, not great, but good.

For dinner I ordered the salmon which came with roasted pepper and a pesto sauce. (skin side up!)

Those are the peppers? Yes, they were pretty good. THe salmon was cooked PERFECTLY but again, WAY to salty for my liking. I kept chugging water this whole meal!

My mom ordered soft shell crab, and it was really a crab!! It kind of freaked me out!

My dad got the Cod which came with roasted chickpeas and a sauce. It was good, salty but good. Theme of the night: Saltyyyyy. The restaurant was decent, I think way over priced for what we got, and I don’t think I will be itching to go back! But I am glad we tried a new restaurant and the service was fabulous!

Breakfast Saturday morning was some Protein oats with 1/2 banana, chopped almonds and blueberries! I digested and did some INSANITY while Jason worked on some things in his house. I did the cardio power and resistance which I love!! I really feel the burn with that one because we do lots of upper body work (One thing I miss on this program is weight training!!) But I do love these workouts!!

I met my friend for a manicure and pedicure (I got MOD ABOUT YOU) by OPI. Its a pretty summer, bubblegum pink! I love getting my nails done, I get anxious with NOTHING on my nails. I think in my 2nd life I would love to run a nailpolish company and come up with crazy colors!

For dinner Jason and I went to Stephanies on Newbury st. We had 8:30 reservations and they were 1/2 hour late seating us so they brought us TWO free apps! Goat cheese served with crusty bread, olives and fresh garlic (sorry about the lighting)

Tuna Tartar which was served atop sliced avocado, wrapped in a cucumber, topped with crispy wontoms and drizzled with wasabi mayo. Hello? Did they know I LOVE tuna?!?! By the time we were ready to order, I was already quite full, so I ordered a dinner salad

Thai style chicken salad: Slow roasted chicken in creamy basil ginger dressing, shredded romaine, napa cabbage, fresh crisp vegetables, peanuts, crispy wontons tossed with sweet and spicy lime chili dressing. This was DELICIOUS! so many flavors that I absolutely adore. I was so happy I made a good choice!

Sunday-MOTHERS DAY BRUNCH! I went to my parents house for a niceee spread of brunch food! The class lox plate complete with red onion, cuke, tomatoes, cream cheese, white fish salad and chive cream cheese

Big Fruit bowl!

Manchego cheese and olives.

My mom also made a frittata!! it was 2 eggs, 6 eggwhites, sauteed mushrooms, leeks, splash of milk and cheese melted on top!!  The trick to this was that she cooked it in a cast iron skillet on the stove, then threw it in the over on broil for the last 2 minutes so the cheese became a bubbly masterpiece.

My plate. I had a sandwich thin, some frittata, veggies, smoked salmon, cottage cheese and jam & fruit

YUM I went back for seconds…on everthing.
My mom is the BEST

This morning I had 1/2 of this banana before hitting the deck for INSANITY Pure Cardio  and Cardio Abs. It was an awesome workout. What I love about these workouts is that my avg heart rate is so high, which means the whole time I am working it is really constant work with no breaks. I was a sweaty mess

Protein oats, which look anything but appetizing. the usual 1/2 banana, 1/2 C oats, 1/2 Scoop protein powder, frozen blueberries, strawberries

I had this SOYmazing muffin a couple hours later

Looks normal right?

SCORE, found at TJmaxx for only 59 cents!

I combined 1/2 of the packet with some Kashi and 6oz greek yogurt!

What a weekend and post! I have to catch up on each and every one of your posts and see how your mothers day, weekends, and lives are!!

Today I am off to go back to my parents house to pick up some things i left there and do some errands. Maybe cooking tonight?!?!
  • Do your families have any traditions when it comes to holidays? For birthdays in my family, the tradition was that in the morning all of our presents would be covered on our plates at breakfast and we got to open everything but 1 before school!
  • Have you tried any new recipes lately? My moms frittata!!!
  • What do you do if you order something at a restaurant and it is toatlly not what you expected? Do you send it back, or just not eat it?! I tend to let them know that is is not what I expected and usually get comp’ed the meal….I think that if something isn’t good, it is beneficial for the restaurant and the kitchen to know so they can improve! I am not one to hold back when it comes to food!!

SONG OF THE MOMENT (hence the blog title)
