Same salad, different day

Well, I wanted to post a bit earlier today, but life got in the way, so 6:00pm works for me! I got back from the gym a little while ago for my lift. It was back and biceps day. I felt particularly strong today and maybes thats due to the Jersey Shore  soundtrack great new music that I downloaded on Itunes? It pumped me up the whole time. What I love about the weight training workouts, is that they are effective, efficient and I work hard. I am never in the gym over 45 minutes (if I am just doing weight trianing) they all take between 35-40 minutes for the most part. This is mainly due to the fact that they are supersets. Exercises back to back, keeps me moving and heart rate UP. It also keeps my attention the whole time and never find myself “bored’ which I have fallen into in the past.

Back to last night because I made a great dinner!
And now that I see the terrible picture, it doesn’t look that great, but trust me it was good!! I topped the tofu with some Mrs Dash and pepper and baked it at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. I grilled a medium sized zuchinni along with about 6 chicken breasts for the week
This morning, I started out with some lemon water. Water + lemons happens to be my new obsession. I also hit the treadmill for 30 min HIIT. I varied what I did but the most fun/time flying and different was alternating sprinting uphill on an incline (5.5% grade, 6.1 speed) with walking on an incline (5% grade, 3.5 speed) I did this straight for about 18 minutes and it was a real butt kicker! I highly suggest you all try it! I hopped off the treadmill and did some burpees, jump squats, jacknifes and stability ball roll outs. I ended with 8 minutes of jump rope! I am getting better, but I have a long way to go with the jump roping-which by the way is another KICK BUTT form of cardio!

And made some breakfast complete with lots o’ cinnamon

Ok, a bit too cinnamony today. 1/4 C oatmeal with 1/2 C liquid eggwhites and 1/4 C blueberries + 1 strawberry

Snack #2 of the day! 1 C of green beans

1 greek yogurt, the other half of oatmeal (1/4 C dry) and some blueberries. I also had 1 T of almond butter in the mix
Salad. Same salad, different day. I can’t get enough! 1/2 C brown rice, 3 oz chicken breast, and salad! I had kale as the base which ROCKED

After the gym, I rocked the hot and cold post workout meal. 1/4 C oats underneath a protein shake. (1 scoop MGN protein with water and ice) and 1/4 C frozen blueberries

I am making some cauliflower in the oven right now to have with some tofu!! Have a great night, friends!
